Excellent food, very friendly Very nice staff, and excellent food. Everything I have tried has been excellent. Not as nice as Chow Thai in Addison, but the food is nearly as good for less money. [16 Jan 2003 19:35:12]

Exposed to the Underbelly of Thai Cuisine When I entered the establishment the odor of the restaurant immediately caught me off guard. The odor was more reminiscent of a retirement than a dining establishment. I was then escorted to a taco bell style-seating booth where I was to “enjoy” my meal. The Thai tea was good so after ordering that I though; “Well maybe the food would be good”, but I would soon be disappointed.
I ordered what is usually my favorite appetizer, Thai rolls. Instead of serving the plum sauce (which at this restaurant looked and tasted like a mixture of automatic transmission fluid mixed with pancake syrup) on the side, they just poured it all over the Thai rolls. This left my hands covered with the sticky gunk that probably belongs in the transfer case of a Buick and definitely not on my plate.
The Thai rolls had the texture and consistency of a rawhide bone my dog had buried under the porch for a week. This dish is highly not recommended (unless you are into that sort of thing).
Now we can move on to the entree. The Pad Bai Grapow's initial flavor was not unpleasant however the entire plate had an unpleasant odor that made me squirm in my pleather seat. Ironically, the presence of two giant jalapeno halves added no jalapeno flavor to the dish. This leads me to believe that the meal was prepared hastily so that the ingredients had no time to cook together.
My friend tried the Goong Op which was better than the other dishes previously described.
In retrospect, we should have known that we were in trouble when we had to ask for chopsticks. It is however the best Thai food restaurant in Lewisville… Because it is the only Thai restaurant in Lewisville! [20 Jul 2003 00:15:08]

New owners and the menu changed We have been fan of this resturant for years and it was great. But I can no longer recommend it any more. The new owners changed the food and changed the menu. No more chicken with snow peas and no more pineapple fried rice. I'm sad to see this because I loved them both. Try Thai Chili instead. [14 Mar 2005 11:38:59]

New Owners and the Menu Changed. We have been dining in this restaurant for years and it was great. After the new management and all new staffs.
Baan Thai Restaurant still the best Thai foods serving in Coppell, Lewisville, Carrolton, and Flower Mound.
They employ the famous chef#1 from Thai Tango as a part time chef. Still working full time chef at Thai Tango from day one till now
Chef in Charge is former Thai Rice Restaurant owner, Former Thai Jasmine Restaurant owner and Quick Thai chef in Colleyville.
To please the melting pot customers, former Baan Thai Restaurant has been Identity herself as “ASIAN RESTAURANT” actually displayed at the door.
The new owner is proud to offer Texan a real Thai Food not the Asian taste therefore “THAI RESTAURANT” being displayed at the entrance instead.
We live in Coppell neither connection nor LOSS any JOB with Baan Thai Restaurant [17 Nov 2005 23:33:33]

You will LOVE this place, they got it together! BEST THAI CHEF in TEXAS! We have frequented this establishment for several years now. There have been many owners come and go, but the current staff has stepped up and made this restaurant a TOP player in the Thai food game!
The HEAD chef, formerly from Thai Tango has taken over Full-Time now, and demands nothing but the BEST in everything they have on the menu!
If you haven't been to this location in the past year, we suggest that you do yourself a favor and come on down for a taste of some of the most delicious Thai treats in the Lone Star State!
The portions are HUGE and the Prices are very reasonable, so you can afford to eat here several times a month, and not go broke!
Great place for small gatherings of friends and family for those extra special events! We take all our out of town guests to this restaurant, and they always rave of the meals they select. Everytime they come back to Dallas, they insist we go to back to Baan Thai for another great meal.
Try the Crab Avacado Roll, it is the Head Chef's creation, and will leave your mouth wattering for more!
The Tom Ka soup is one of their biggest seller, and once you taste it, you will order it everytime! We can never get enough!
What are you waitting for, shut down the computer and head over to Lewisville and the Baan Thai Restaurant, you will be glad you did and will come back time and time again!
If you want to have a glass of wine or cold beer, bring it along and they will provice the set up for you!
See you at Baan Thai, we will be there! [18 Mar 2007 17:22:50]
