Abuelo's is Awesome
My boyfriend and I discovered Abuelo's about three months ago. It is a 25 minute drive from where we live, and we make it so often that the hostess now recognizes us, as sad as that may be. The atmosphere is bright, and the music and architecture is lively, without being intrusive or overwhelming. The staff is quite competent, offering their knowledge of the vegetarian-safe dishes, and they also will offer to let customers try a bit of something new before you have to order the whole dish. The food is always delicious, and is prepared in a lovely fashion. I have yet to try something there that I didn't like, except for maybe the tortilla soup, which was not horrible, just mediokre. It's a great place to eat, and I recommend it for all ages, and I especially would go there for a first date. The prices are slightly higher than I would like, but well worth it.    [07 Jul 2003 20:30:21]

Lively
Abuelos is lacking in customer care. The waitstaff is unfriendly and uncaring. The food makes up for this in some regards. I would save my money and cook a romantic dinner at home.    [16 Jan 2004 19:43:25]

Abuelo's - Always a hit with out of towners
Abuelo's has a great atmosphere to entertain - either family, friends, or business clients. Their menu selection is diverse and includes your "non-typical" Tex-Mex cusine such as their chef specialities. I have found Abuelo's food, presentation, and atmosphere to be consistantly above average.    [07 Feb 2004 11:03:03]
