Best Italian in Town Chez Suzette is one of the best restaurants in Lubbock, especially for romantic dinners. The atmosphere is intimate and quiet, with most tables seating 4 or fewer people. It has the best tomato basil soup in town, rich with cream and very tangy. Follow up with a great piece of chilled cheesecake, and you will go home very happy. [01 Dec 1999 22:33:09]

One of the best in Lubbock? Lubbock is lacking when it comes to nice places to eat. Chez Suzette attempts to make up for this by providing decent food with an intimate setting. The service is lacking along with the food. If you are looking for a nice place for a romantic dinner in Lubbock look no further. However probably not the best food you will ever have. I love the filets Chez Suzette changed ownership in Feb of 05' thank goodness. The old owners where running the place down with bad cuts of meat and lack of supplies. The new owner is a wonderful, with a good understanding of how to run a restaurant. The filet with the bearnaise sauce is absolutely breath taking. The service is very good for a small town restuarant. The wine compliments the food well and the deserts are to die for. If you want somewhere to dress up and be able to just talk and not yell at your significant other than go to Chez Suzette. [03 Oct 2005 13:12:33]

Romance in a Strip Mall in Lubbock I would agree, there are very few places in Lubbock for romantic dinner or let's just say adult food, aside from college kids' fare. I could personally do without the schnick schnack decor but I can understand it is a difficult task to create paris street life in a strip mall in Lubbock. I like their appetizers and deserts the most. I think anytime during the week nights the wait staff are more then friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Bon appetit! [16 Jun 2006 16:26:06]

Great place for fine dining! Every time I have been to Chez Suzette I have had a great experience. Very friendly waiters and wonderful food. I have not found an appetizer there that I did not enjoy. They have recently changed up their menu a little bit, and it has definately improved! [02 Jul 2007 17:26:25]

decent food topped with blahhhhh My wife and I ate at Chez Suzette and she ordered from the menu. I asked for a simple order of pasta and marinara or tomato sauce and they said, "no problem."
When our order arrived, my wife's food was fine, not overly exciting in any way, shape, or form. My food, however, was a pile of cold spaghetti noodles covered with a dollop of unwarmed canned tomato sauce. The kitchen could not even answer why they charged me for the dish. I payed and I haven't been back. [16 Jul 2007 21:58:01]
