Competition has Improved Choochai Being relatively new to Thai cuisine, I do not consider myself an expert, but I do know what I like. I have been eating at Choochai's for about 3-years. This is one of those restaurants that you order the same item every time. For me, it is the Khow Pad (fried rice). I believe that with the fairly recent opening of Thai Pepper (in the medical district,) Choochai's service has actually become better from the competition. When you visit, make sure to read the front of the menu. The story about the owner and his wife is very interesting. [07 Feb 2004 11:10:01]

Good food, high prices. The food here is excellent, but the prices are absolutely crazy high. About $4.00 for a bowl of hot and sour soup? In Lubbock? Come on. Don't request anything "extra spicy" or you won't be able to eat it. [21 Jun 2005 10:27:05]
