Very Good! It was about a year ago that I had the pleasure to eat at this restaurant. I had their stuffed quail. It was probably the best I have ever had. I wish I had their recipe. And the atmoshere was great. I just wish I had a date to have been with me at the time. The service was very good also. [20 Apr 2002 13:43:06]

Highly overrated To give Cafe Cenizo its due, the ambiance was wonderful and the waitstaff was knowledgable. As for food, the cream of poblano soup and the fresh rolls were excellent but the menu went down from there. The pork tamales were dry and cold. The crab and shrimp enchilada had so much cheese that you couldn't taste the seafood or find the spinach, and the chipotle-mushroom cream sauce was not reduced properly. The ribeye was fair but not so good as to justify the price and the onion "rings" more resembled the canned shreds served with green beans at bad thanksgiving meals. Cafe Cenizo will certainly impress those who evaluate quality with their wallet. It aspires to greatness but misses the mark due to carelessness and sloppy cooking. [10 Aug 2005 23:04:06]
