This little restaurant was incredible! The extensive menu read like something from some of the AAAA restaurants here in Houston...at a much more affordable price. They grow alot of the fresh vegetables they serve and what they do not grow, they clearly purchase only the best, fresh vegetables, which are then prepared professionally and exquisitely with obvious pride and care. The homemade bread is to die for and they have cholesterol free cage eggs that I am trying to figure out how to get to Houston!! Every item is prepared at the time you order it..nothing sitting around on a hot table. This takes longer...don't be in a hurry when you stop to eat at Keller's but I can guarantee you an excellent meal with friendly service. Stop in and try it out. Seafood in the Heart of Texas
On a lonely stretch of highway by the Llano River between Fredericksburg and Mason stands an old homestead. The family built a general store to supply the local farms many years ago, and now they are operating the most amazing restaurant. Don't let the outside fool you a five star dining experience lies within. Oysters on the halfshell so fresh you would swear you are sitting on a wharf in the gulf. Entrees to challenge the palate and music for the soul on some nights. They have an area that is quieter if you want to talk, call for reservations as it can be quite busy. Ribeye steaks just the right thickness, fresh sauces, fresh grilled vegetables, fried vegetable plate with amazing items. Keller's by the Hwy. 87 Llano River bridge
This is actually a pretty cool place. We had the opportunity to dine here on a Friday night last year before they scaled back. 5 star service & food.
At last word their restaurant/kitchen is currently closed except during the summer and maybe the hunting season. That's too bad. But the live weekend music and the ambience are still worth a stop.
