Excellent (Cozy) atmosphere. Excellent (Cozy) atmosphere. Live music in the form of an acostic guitar trio most weekends in the evenings. Excellent Iced tea, home made chips (both corn and flour) and three types of salsa that are just spicy enough to warm you up a little, but not enough to keep you from enjoying their taste. I highly recommend the botana platter. The marinated fajitas fall apart in your mouth, the platter also includes flautas, quesadillas, and fried zucchini (yum!!). Words don't describe the fiesta that will take place on your tastebuds. Do yourself a favor and try them out. [07 Feb 2004 11:52:34]

Excellent This Mexican Restaurant comes with all the old charm the Mexican Restaurant of old came with. The service is excellent. The food is delicious. The servings are just right, and the salsas are the best. [19 Feb 2005 15:13:42]

THE Best Mexican Restaurant in McAllen We have NEVER been disappointed with Costa Messa. Service is great, and the food is consistently excellent. So easy to get to, also. If you are in the Upper Valley, looking for a great, very reasonably priced Mexican restaurant, you would do well to try Costa Messa [05 Apr 2007 21:18:10]

Really a bargain! I'm in a rut at this place; I have to have the Alambres (Shishkebab) with Beef and Shrimp. It's not a menu item per se, but again shows the reason I give them a great review, accomodating. The drinks are high octane also. If you're really hungry order an appetizer-otherwise there's a great soup included and plenty of food on your plate. [13 Aug 2007 18:08:42]
