Great food and prices, old-fashioned. The Blue Star Inn is one of the oldest restaurants in Midland, having opened in around 1953. It looks like it has not changed much at all since then...has a very "retro" look to it.
The food is some of the best we have had in Midland...really tastes like home cooking. You can get hamburger steak with gravy and onions, green beans, baked potato, egg drop soup, and homemade cinnamon rolls for $4.25.
The Chinese dishes are great too.
The Blue Star inn does accept all major credit cards. [30 May 2005 19:52:34]

The Best Go now, don't wait. This is probably the last generation to keep this place open. The way Chinese food was meant to be eaten. All food served on metal platters like in the 60's-70's. No buffet, no problem. You get a lot of food for very little money. Do yourself a favor and go. Also for those who don't do Chinese food, the american dishes are great also. Pan-fried chicken fried steaks you can cut with a fork. Flamed broiled steaks to boot. [02 Mar 2007 11:29:18]

Great Red Snapper This place has the greatest Red Snapper I have ever tasted. It is pan grilled and doesn't taste "fishy." I always order steamed rice instead of baked potatoes. [25 May 2007 13:57:08]
