Banana Boat - North Texas' Best Kept Secret Banana Boat is one of our favorite restaurants. The personal service is so refreshing after working & dining in town (Fort Worth etc.) all week. Rarely have we had to wait more than a few minutes to be seated. The owner will go to great lengths to stock regular patrons' favorite wines. Dress is variable...we've seen everything from flip flops, t-shirts & swimsuits fresh from Joe Pool Lake to wedding receptions replete with formal attire. The jukebox has a delightfully eclectic mix of many genres of music and the restaurant regularly hosts live bands, both inside in the dining room and outside in the beer garden. For an interesting and comfortable dining experience well worth the drive to the boonies, this is the place. [27 Dec 2001 10:32:52]

Ouch. Well I am sorry to say my dinner wasn't very good. The Tuna steak was not cooked all the way. The broccoli was cold, was cooked, but cold. To not get a salad for the price seemed chency. The one saving grace was the chocolate cake for dessert. But I wouldn't have ordered it if I was full. My partner had the Shrimp Alfredo, again the price was over the limit for so little amount of shrimp. The pasta was not done either. The server was attentive. [26 Dec 2002 19:16:44]
