Adobe Verde Rocks! Being from the San Antonio/Austin area, I throughly enjoyed the hospitality that Seattle, WA lacks. This includes the food. There is no place like Texas for good Mexican food. The margaritas are very primo. [04 Sep 2002 11:29:58]

I won't be returning to the Green Hut. My wife and I have gone to this restaurant for the last 6 years. The service is almost never quite good, but the food usually makes up for it. The last two times I've been to Adobe Verde I was mistreated by the employees.
One time I was ignored because my wife and I were just in the mood for a little snack, and not a "bit tip" table. The waiter was snappy, and actually made a snide remark to me when I was leaving.
The other time the food was cold and the waitress was horrible. Even with the great tortilla soup
I can't see subjecting myself to this restaurant again. With other great options in the New Braunfels/Gruene area, it'll be easy to side-step this one. [26 Jan 2004 08:37:53]

Best Service in Town. My friends and I had dinner and drinks there, everything was wonderful. The Sangritas are great. The entire wait staff was great looking and very courteous and fun at the same time. Great for fun warm weather atmosphere. [28 Jan 2004 19:19:06]

No Queso Flameado? After being away from the area for a couple of years, we went back to the Adobe and they've taken the queso flameado off the menu! We love the area and the food, but the queso was the main reason for eating there. [15 May 2004 19:16:28]

good food, bad service After a long, sun-filled day on the river, Adobe Verde hits the spot. Food is good, plentiful and fairly cheap. Service is pretty horrible. Not sure how clean the place is either. The Mgmt. doesn't care about customers, it's a numbers game- get 'em in & out. That being said, we love the queso & chips post-river but wouldn't go there other wise. [14 Aug 2005 11:55:57]
