Broadway Grocery is an old time country grocery store. Sadly, nearly all of these died more than 25 years ago. Behind the store is a barbeque shack where the experienced septegenerian owner and family make terrific barbeque chicken, brisket and sausage every Saturday morning. The meats are ready by about 11:00 and the crowd has cleaned out the last pieces by about 1:00. Call before 10:00 a.m. to reserve what you want or it might be sold out when you get there.

The sides are pretty good also.

As long as you're at the store, go in and purchase a couple of rings of the German sausage the owner makes at the store. Take it home and cook it for breakfast Sunday morning. You might get especially lucky and find some excellent avacados and fresh local produce too.
