In the area visiting family The food was awesome. We saw our waitress maybe three times that night, one time to get our drinks, then to take our order, one time when I chased her down to get more drink and chips (which I don't count), then the last time when we asked her for the ticket. She rarely made eye contact, didn't ask us if we needed anyuthing else, didn't offer us dessert. The guy who waited on other tables in the area was there to meet the needs of people, we saw him often and he was very friendly. We won't be back in the future nor will we recommend it to anyone. Going Through Town Fajitas were very good. Chips were stale and cold. Hot sauce was terrible. Service very, very slow. Ordered water that tasted like mold. So reordered cokes hoping it was a city water problem. But cokes also tasted like mold. Must have it in the taps? Won't go back. [17 Feb 2003 10:09:37]

Visiting Family Good fajitas. The food was slow in coming, but our waiter was helpful and accomodating. Knowing that servings are often quite large, my husband and I shared an order. We would eat there again. [22 Jun 2003 03:20:43]

In town for a few weeks LOVED EVERYTHING! Food was excellent, chips & salsa were perfect, & service was THE BEST! Met new GM..noticed he visits each table & is VERY FRIENDLY! I think our waiter was Josh, he was wonderful as well! Been here a few times & restaurant has changed dramatically! I recommend El Toro to anyone who is ever in the area. [30 Sep 2003 12:28:36]

This is probably the noisiest, most nerve-racking dining experience I've had. The arrogant waitstaff constantly dragged chairs and tables across the concrete floor causing a noise only rivaled by that of fingernails being drug down a chalkboard. Aside from that, the food was AWFUL!!! [15 Jan 2005 16:50:32]

Not as good as it used to be Lived in Palestine forever, been eating at El Toro for years. Have noticed lately that the taco/nacho meat is watery. The salsa seems watery (but still good). At times, upon entering the restaurant, it smells of sour or spoiled cheese. [06 Feb 2005 14:13:10]

We eat at El Toro as often as possible. The service may not always be the best, but the food more than makes up for that. This place has the best Rib Eye Steak and Shrimp I have ever tasted! In fact, I think I'm going to have one this evening. The General Manager, Cynthia, is the greatest. She is always visiting with the customers, and strives for customer satisfaction.

Best Mexican Food in Town Good food. Good queso. however, don't add meat to your queso. Meat looks under cooked. Waiter says it is the seasoning that they put into the meat. Fajitas and enchiladas are very good. Kids love the free ice cream. Service at times can be poor depending on which server you get. Manager is very friendly [30 Dec 2005 16:50:19]

BEST RESTAURANT IN TOWN We eat at this place several times monthly, including tonight. The food is consistently good and some dishes are superb! The grilled chicken dishes are awesome, tender, juicy but sufficiently cooked. They are very stingy with guacamole though! Depending on the server, most of the time the service is excellant. It was very good tonight, a sweet girl who probably visited our table 12 times! Honestly! She got a good tip! Sadly our entrance marred an otherwise great meal. There is a broken place on the tile at the entrance and I tripped over it catching myself on the rough wall, skinning my finger and hand. I reported this to four employees in the entrayway and all that was said was "I didn't see that!" (meaning the broken area). I mentioned it again inside the eating area, still no response. El Toro is very fortunate that I am an honest person and not looking for a lawsuit to make some quick money! However I hope someone else doesn't fall and get hurt seriously! I highly recommend this place but on the weekends especially go early. it's packed and very noisy and service is ebhind on weekends, over worked due to the crowded conditions. [19 Oct 2006 21:40:32]
