Have been eating at Shep's since it opened. I've driven across 3 states to take home a brisket before. Thankfully, I've moved back to TX and it's only a 5 hr drive now for the MOST WONDERFUL BBQ EVER!!!!! It's an easy trip. Meat is tender, never fatty. Busy at lunch, family owned and operated. Good okra, homemade potato salad, cobblers. (Tea needs to be a little stronger though).    [08 Mar 2006 12:09:27]

BEST BBQ IN TEXAS
The Best BBQ my husband & I have eaten.
Brisket & sausage were tender and flavorful, NOT ONE BIT OF FAT. Sause was flavorful not spicey. Large servings - staff friendly and very helpful. We wish they would open a franshise in San Antonio, TX.    [24 Mar 2006 13:02:47]
