Assaultive Wait Staff and Chef Boyardee Meals
We were seated immediately in the empty restaurant at 7:00 on Friday evening. The fact that there were more waiters than customers should have indicated that the place would be bomb. But nothing prepared me for the disaster that followed.

First, the bread was fresh from the nearest state prison. It was hard as a rock, but not as tasty. My date's Diet Coke had no carbonation and my tea had a fly in it.

We should have left then.

We ordered our dishes on the menu with small selection. The entrees looked as if they were poured out from the Chef Boyardee can, and tasted just a little worse than the typical "meal in a cup fare."

Parts of the lettuce on my salad were black. My pasta was not fully cooked. I asked for it to be recooked and the waiter came out with a completely different meal -- 30 minutes later.

We contemplated telling the manager at this point of the poor service and food, but we didn't want to upset the already testy waiter. For our $40.00 meal, I left a $3.00 tip. Our waiter followed us to parking garage where he demanded more tip money. We declined.

This was the worst dining experience of my life. Do not dine at Mingalone's.    [18 Aug 2003 15:33:29]

appalling
Food was sludged out of a can and plopped on the plate. The waiter cared nothing about us until the end when he followed us to our car asking for more than his 18% tip. It was the WORST service and food I have ever experienced.    [07 Jun 2004 11:59:59]
