They only cater to young crowd
Had a very tense lunch experience today. We asked three times to have the music turned down, and even asked to be moved away from the speaker that was directly overhead. They said the music couldn't be turned down, and they wouldn't move us, so my lunch partner and I had to lean across the table to hear each other talk, then we ate as quickly as possible so we could excape the music, which was not only loud, but obnoxious - definitely not music to dine by. While the food is usually good for the price, the atmosphere is geared to the under 25 crowd...a shame since most of the patrons we could see were over 40.    [03 Apr 2001 15:09:15]

Chicken Fried Chicken fit for a king
I have not eaten at the Black Eye Pea since they changed the menu some 8 years ago. We tried it last week because we had a discount coupon for one free meal. I have not had such a tasty home cooked type meal in this city. The portions were large, and the kooking was fantastic. The original country spices made this meal the most enjoyable. The fresh bread and fresh corn bread servings were hot and tasty. I am going back again tonight to see if it was a fluke. If it wasn't, They have won me over. Awsome Service, Great food.
