Good beer on tap; casual island fare
This is the place to get good burgers, seafood, sandwiches and oysters. They serve drafe beer unlike the other restaurants in this town (Dos Equis, Fat Tire, Shinerbock, & Bud) The wine selection is also good. Only problem we found were the bright porchlights on the deck. We couldn't see the bay and there were empty sugar packets all over the floor too that should have been swept up. Nice place for families on vacation.    [17 Nov 2003 10:54:14]

Great Restaurant for locals and tourists
I highly recommend Trout Street to both local residents and visitors. Even if you're not a seafood fanatic, this is a great place with a great location. Everyone in my dining party loved their meals and our wait staff was excellent.    [30 Jul 2004 13:47:38]

Terrible experience; will never go there again
This weekend we had a terrible experience at Trout Street Bar & Grill. A member of our family has a severe nut allergy. We were careful to ask about the ingredients. However, the waiters, managers, and staff chefs didn't even know what oils they used or what information to share with us. They were extremely rude and lacking in customer service. The manager on duty told us he "didn't care." We will never enter the doors again. Thankfully, we only had to deal with raised tempers and major inconvenience. This could have been a life threatening ordeal.    [06 Aug 2004 20:34:27]

HORRIBLE SERVICE
We had to wait in the smoking section of the bar with my family for 30 minutes before they remembered we were there. Still didn't get a table, so they put bar tables together. Horrible service, average food.    [13 May 2005 10:53:13]

Horrible attitude supported by managment
My family and I were at there on a Saturday nite and did not mind waiting the hour for a table. But, once we sat down the experience went downhill. The scallops were under cooked and the waitress, who we informed we wanted seperate checks BEFORE she even tooked our drink order, rolled her eyes at the request and was rude from that point on. We noticed she added the gratuity to our check and we onformed her that we work in the restaurant business as well and she would have been better off not adding it on. Her reply "I have been screwed by people like you who have said that before." My husband then spoke to the manager and all he said was " What do you want me to do about it?" We were not looking for a comp just an apology would have sufficed from him and our server but these people do not care if you dine at their establishment or not.    [14 Jun 2006 13:44:57]
