Not Worth the Wait
Waited a bit more than an hour for a dirty table. The waitress forgot our drinks. She forgot to bring the rolls (which the menu advertised as part of the meal). When we asked for the rolls she said they were out. When we asked to have the snapper charbroiled instead of grilled she told us that was not possible. The food arrived cold and the taste left much to be desired. The music downstairs competed with the one upstairs. Neither one of them stood out. Overall an absolutely miserable outing - I would not advise anyone to go here.    [10 Jun 2002 18:30:01]

One of My Favorites
On our family vacations we always make it a point to eat at Virginia's before we leave. It has never disappointed us. The food, the view, and the atmosphere are great.    [02 Oct 2003 13:12:10]

Fun and Food
The wait was nominal, the service was solicitous, but not overly so; the food was served promptly. The view was both lovely and interesting. The snapper melted in one's mouth, and was completemented perfectly by a wonderfully piquant sauce and perfectly prepared sides, featuring a sourdough biscuit which while unexpected, fitted in with it all delightfully.    [08 Oct 2003 09:52:11]

Best Food, Best Sevice
Great food - the smoked prime rib was wonderful! We also had a very professional wait person.    [10 Nov 2003 13:54:13]

Don't Waste Your Time or Money.
Food O.K. No draft beer. 1 brand of wine in Merlot, Chardonnay and White Zinfandel; Full bar. Burgers, fries, corn on the cob, and fish. Waitress not the best. Great bay view but I'd rather go elsewhere.    [17 Nov 2003 10:58:52]

Good Stuff - Go at Lunchtime
The crowds were out in force at dinner, but we could get in pretty easily at lunch. I had the shrimp and fish plate (grouper) and it was excellent.

Our waiter was very friendly and helpful.    [27 Jul 2004 20:30:17]

Don't Waste Your Time
No refills on coke at $1.69 a pop.

Cost $1.95 to substitute a veggie for potato.

Small portions - 6 shrimp for $13.95, and they were small and not very good.

Service was poor. Management was not concerned about complaints.

Fish type was unknown (fried fish).

The only thing good about Virginia's was the view, and it's not worth your time!    [23 Aug 2004 14:29:25]

Almost Worth It
Dined at this place Dec. 28. Food was sort of pricey and almost worth it. We did see dolphins in the marina. This, to me, makes up for much of the downside. The food in Port A is not impressive. So watch dolphins and eat here if you've got the bucks.    [31 Dec 2004 19:07:05]

New Owners - Bigger Portions - Upgrades - Just What this Restaurant Needed. Two Thumbs Up.
The portions were bigger. New on the menu - Cajun dump - it is excellent. Our waitress - also the management - quite nice, very friendly. Best part at Virginia's besides the food was the awesome sunset from the bar upstairs, and the bartender upstairs. Class act, 1st class service. Tou-che!    [24 Mar 2005 07:27:08]
