Excellent
Some of the best crispy tacos; unique M-F lunches. Great enchiladas. A great old-fashion lunch counter hamburger too. Very highly recommended. Better than many places in Houston.    [05 Dec 2001 14:11:46]

mucho gusto
The oysters dishes are very good in season. The crab nachos are one of the best menu items. The daily specials are a premium. Smokers can be a problem.    [27 Oct 2002 00:09:55]

taco very greasy

We recently ate lunch at LaPlayita and were greeted at the door with a welcoming smile and polite service. We ordered off the lunch menu a Mexican combo special, it was freshly made and very tasty and seasoned just right. We thought it was comparable to our favorite restaurant in Houston (ElImperial on FM1960). Prices were great and servings plentiful. Locals who were dining were friendly.    [02 Aug 2005 01:31:03]
