Remember the Alamo! (in Post) We ordered the Pepper Steak and a TDA burrito. Their pepper steak is a hamburger steak with cheese and jalapenos inside it. I have tried the Pepper Steak before, but this time it was smaller than usual and not done in the middle. This comes with french fries (or baked potato), gravy, toast, and a small salad on the plate. The TDA burrito has bacon, hamburger meat, beef and chicken fajita meat, onions, and bell peppers. It was delicious and very large. We also oderered salads and they were fresh and arrived quickly. Our drinks were refilled promptly. We even got them in "To Go" cups before we left. The service was excellent. Waitress was very polite and efficient. The Chicken Fried Steak now costs $8.50, but is too small for that price. They have a buffet that costs $7.99. The food on the buffet seems to lack the flavor of the individually prepared meals. Given the option, I would order from the menu rather than eat the buffet. They do accept reservations. If you have a large group, this would be a good idea. Seats about 77, plus high chairs.
