I wasn't happy! I've been going to Larry's for a few years now about once a month. Last night 3/28/02 I experienced the worst service ever! On top of that, the cashier was RUDE also. I got to Larry's at 7:30pm and it took an hour and half to get the food. It wasnt that busy and when I noticed that people coming in after my table of 6 was getting waited on , I was angry. I told the manager at the front that we have been sitting here 45 min and we havent even got our drinks yet. He continued to do what he was doing and didnt look up and made the comment "We are understaffed" He kept going about his business no apologies...NOTHING! I continued to tell him that we need a waiter and still no waiter came to the table. I sat there an additional 30 min before the waiter came who was RUDE too. As I sat there eating my meal that wasnt hot I watched 3 people complain to the manager. To top this off, we got our bill and the waiter added it up wrong!!! So this had to be fixed to. I will not be back to Larry's and Im suggesting to my friends to find another mexican restaurant to eat at. [29 Mar 2002 12:48:44]

I am 46 years old and remember eating at Larry's with my family when I was just a kid. I loved it then, and continue to love it today. Other area restaurants come and go, but Larry's is a main stay. They must be doing something right. The waiters have been there forever. Good old Lazro is our family favorite, and Larry and Ray never fail to greet us at the door. The place may have the same pictures on the walls that it had when I was just a kid, but that is one of the things I like about it. I have found no one yet who can match their Queso, and oh my, the red sauce on the tacos can't be beat. To top it off the prices remain very reasonable after all these years. [02 Oct 2002 22:14:29]

Customer since I was just a kid.
Larrys is the BEST EVER! In the thirty years I have gone there they have NEVER been understaffed! And the staff treats their customers like family. The food they serve is unbeatable! I know the person who wrote the negative response, and they happen to be affiliated with the competition restaurant, just down the street. (I wont mention names) The police are always at Larry's and are great friends of the staff. Today it is rare to find a restaraunt which values family qualities and doesn't focus only on booze. (If you want a beer they would be happy to serve you one) [04 Dec 2002 18:19:59]

Larry's is Great! I've been eating at Larry's for about 7 years. I've received excellent service just about everytime I go. I think they have the best Margaritas around. My wife and I always split Fajitas for 1 and still go home stuffed. [11 Mar 2003 21:31:49]

I enjoyed the food more than making love to my wife! Its the kind of thing where you just know that an angel is responsible for sparking the heavenly food. That angel was named Mama Ninfa and many years ago, a man who went by Larry Guerrero learned from her, all the while adding new flares. Larry actually defeated Mama Ninfa by enriching flavors and scrapping the bland and unrealistic recipes that were originally intended to please the Aryan population rather than the authentic Mexican food lovers and Hispanic commonfolk. Larry is an angel now and he sends his love through his two course mexican dinners, all the while watching over his brothers and sisters.
-Out of all the restaurants I have eaten at as a guardian angel, I summon thee to a 5 star award for first class service and perfect cleanliness. Maldania (Lt. Guardian angel)Iglesias:33 [21 Feb 2004 21:43:46]

Someone is lying!! I have been a long time patron of Larry's myself, and it is a joy to go into the restaurant and see the staff bend over backwards to get your food quickly and correct. I have never experienced an understaffed night, and I cannot even comprehend having to wait for drinks, chips, or food. I do believe that the first complaint had to be at another restaurant or dreaming. [18 Apr 2004 18:09:21]

F-A-N-T-A-S-T-I-C Cannot find better QUESO than here at Larry's. WOW...good stuff. How do they do it? I would drive 4 hours to dine here on any given night. Thanks for the incredible experience. [22 Apr 2005 18:18:39]

Larry's is the best bar none I agree with everyone else the person who wrote the bad review is feakin nuts. Larry's staff is great, the food is simply the best. You WILL NOT find better queso, which by the way is a family secret, I've asked for it many times. price are great. and yes the local pd does come in there, which proves the food is great and the place is very safe. I have been eating at Larry's for as long as I can remember and my kids all their lives, that will never change. No where in all of Texas will you find better food, better service or people that treat you like family. [02 May 2006 14:30:52]

Great Food, Great Service I rode my bicycle to Larry's when I was a kid. The food has always been excellent. The chile con queso is great; however, I think they have changed the cheese. After a meal at Larry's we would go to the E G Food Market for dessert!! E G was Larry's brother. The food is really excellent; it's still a favorite of mine [25 Apr 2007 16:57:51]
