Unbelievable Grandma's Sunday Chicken Dinner
The best fried chicken dinner you'll find anywhere. The only choices are chicken or chicken fried steak. Both are served family style with 4 huge pieces of chicken per person or a chicken fried steak the size of your plate. Either entree is served with real cream mashed potatoes and gravy that would put your grandmother's to shame, green salad and melt-in-your-mouth homemade biscuits with real butter. Best Food In Town.
I love this place, I go about once a week the Chicken Fried Steak is a must. All you can eat mashed potatoes, corn, salad, and biscuits all served homestyle. They give you a bowl, you empty it, they fill it up again, repeat.    [11 Feb 2004 15:02:41]

Babe's is the Best!

What's the Big Deal???
I'm not sure what all the hype is about. If you don't get there very, very early, there is a long wait. The chicken was very good and very hot, the salad was good, but the other sides were just average. The biscuits were wonderful. Our waitress was quite the crab; although the other wait staff seemed very friendly. I just think it's overpriced for fried chicken.    [03 Mar 2005 13:09:36]

Out-of-Town Must.
Everyone that comes to visit us gets taken to Babe's. Why? Because it is an extremely enjoyable experience, with outstanding food at a very reasonable price. Set your expectations to wait, but that is because the repeat business is so high and the wait is worth it. From little kids to great-grandparents all have enjoyed this place!
