Ordered grilled chicken dinner w/mashed potatoes & carrots; chicken was dry and tasted like it had been grilled next to a piece of fish, potatoes were also dry and tasteless. Rolls were the best part of that meal. Will never eat at another Black Eyed Pea again.    [17 Feb 2003 08:47:23]

WENT FOR LUNCH, WAS GIVEN THE REGULAR DINNER MENU BY THE HOSTESS. $8.99 & UP FOR MEALS. THEN OUR WAITRESS TOLD US THAT WE NEEDED TO ASK FOR A LUNCH MENU, PRICES WERE $3.00 LOWER FOR THE EXACT SAME MEALS! THE WAITRESS SAID THAT THEY ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO TELL THE CUSTOMERS ABOUT THE CHEAPER LUNCH MENU, ONLY TO GIVE IT TO THEM IF THEY ASK FOR IT. HOW VERY DECEPTIVE! NO WONDER THE ROCKWALL STORE IS NOT DOING ANY BUSINESS. ALSO, THEY NEED A SMOKING SECTION. THE ONLY RESTAURANTS IN TOWN THAT DO A REALLY GOOD BUSINESS, ALL HAVE SMOKING SECTIONS. Good Eats
This was our first visit to Black Eye Pea. The food was very good, although the service was VERY slow. I think it was just an unattentive waitress, since the rest of the customers kept flowing in and out. Overall it was a good experience, food-wise, so we'll try it again.    [19 May 2004 20:16:13]

Best Pot roast on earth
