Great Coffee, Great Food, Great Service I've eaten there many times, and love it. If you want espresso drinks made right then this is the place to go. The service was outstanding. As soon as I walked in I was greeted with a smile, and the employees made sure that everything was to my liking. [22 Mar 2004 21:46:30]

OMG!!! PERFECT!! This place makes Starbuck's look like a flop house. Their coffies ROCK and their doughnuts are the BEST. Move over Duncan and come in Baker!!! [07 Oct 2004 09:53:31]

Excellent venue We liked this coffee house a lot. It is a local coffee house which is objectively better than Starbuck's as far as variety of desserts and drinks, predominantly coffee of course, offered. It's a college/young adult hang out in San Angelo, an up and coming college town. Stop by and try it out for yourself, you won't regret it. [21 Feb 2005 22:00:51]

I Hate to Disagree, but if you can't open more than one store... I keep trying this entry-level restaurant. It has a pleasant name and it's comfy inside. Then, again, it has to be: it's always taken at least a half hour to get a mere sandwich. The coffee is served from four or five vacuum pots; usually two or three are empty at a time. The owners tried to open up another shop across town. I don’t think the shop ever opened; if it did, it was only for a few weeks.
The wait staff is friendly, and nice enough, but they are entry-level. There's been some comparisons to Starbucks Coffee where the employees are trained coffee baristas (bartenders) and they are able to serve hundreds of customers an hour, and coffee comes from a less than an hour old brew—or espresso based drinks on the spot. Not to mention they are able to find customers around the world; not just across town.
Baker Street is in a good location, it’s handy, it’s highly visible, and if these are the things you want in a restaurant, it has them all. But if you are in a party of four, the sandwiches will come out at least a half hour later as they are ready—not all at once--and the first to eat will be completely finished before the fourth one sees any food. Still, it is a very comfortable place to eat. There are as many couches with the opportunity to eat off your lap, as there are tables and chairs. [15 Aug 2005 02:26:18]

I didn't like coffee til I started getting it here!!!! I didn't consider myself a coffee person until I visited here. I have visited starbucks in San Angelo but was very unhappy with my coffee, service, and the person serving me. I may not be someone who knows alot about coffee but I do know that I like what they do here. About the wait well I belive that I may have waited 5 min. at any time that I have been there. Even if I had waited 30 min. it would have been well worth it. After all I would rather have quality product than something that taste nasty and I got it in 2 min. or less. The staff has always been more than friendly with me. What more can I say I now like coffee. [05 May 2006 10:53:57]

When I went to Baker Street, I was treated like I was their only customer. I've never received an incorrect order. The atmosphere is also great. I could go and sit there for hours - just enjoying - but I know I have to make room for more people to try it. I'm surprised they aren't even more full than they are. It's definatly worth every penny every time. [22 Oct 2006 21:19:39]
