It's like a Seinfield episode Community Cafe's soups are regularly very good. Today's was exceptional.
The menu listed New England Clam Chowder. It was plain to see today's soup wasn't a chowder. Like the Seinfeld episode with the Soup "Specialist," the soup was a tomato-based bisque.
So, I asked Chef Henry about it. He said, "It's an Alligator Bisque." He explained that he'd held a Wild "Animeal" dinner the previous night and shared it with Community Cafe patrons the next day.
Well, Ooh-kay...I tried it.. Alligator or not, it was a knee buckler: you couldn't stand and eat this soup at the same time. You could yada, yada, yada over whatever you did for lunch, but if you mentioned the alligator bisque... you didn't skip over the best part. [29 Oct 2005 05:00:15]
