A diamond in the rough .... Where do the locals go? They go to Frank's. This place is always busy at eatin' times. But, if you want the best German country cooking, this is the place! It's really convenient too ... right off the highway. The prices are more than reasonable, but the cuisine is like nothing you have ever had unless you have lived there.
They even have some local flavors you can take back with you. [26 Jul 2002 23:27:39]

Franks and Adamcheks (sp) For those old enough to remember Schulenburg had 2 feature restaurants..Franks and Adamcheks..they had a petting zoo... Franks moved to the new highway when the highway moved and saved itself..unlike the treasure The Chicken Shack in Waco who stayed on the same old highway..I understand Brothers Chicken on Gaston in Dallas has a similar chicken now...Franks has a great hamburger [27 Jun 2006 02:05:56]

I Looooove Frank's! I'd drive from Clear Lake to Schulenburg just to get a piece of apple pie if my hubby would let me. We don't go within 50 miles of the place with making a detour to eat there. We've taken as many family members there as we can, and they all love it. And it SURE isn't because there isn't plenty of fine dining in Houston/Clear Lake/Galveston. It's just because Frank's has plain ol' good food -- and if it ain't "homegrowed," well sir, it sure'n tastes like it is. [01 Mar 2007 14:40:56]
