Description
Louie's is a fresh concept in dining. Not formal, the diner orders as if at a fast food and picks up the finished product when it is prepared.
The line is the only similarity to "fast food" as the main dishes clearly were prepared on order and were fresh.

Now Das GOOOD Cajun!!! The family and I recently discovered Louie's...and I got to tell you folks...das good eatin. I have had Cajun all over the US and this is the best. Fresh food, festive atmosphere and great prices make this place a Texas Treasure. [02 Sep 2002 03:08:33]

What happened to your excellent service? I have been a loyal patron of Louie Ledeaux since their grand opening. Everytime I have visited I have received excellent service, food and the ambience has always been inviting until I visited on my birthday, February 1. The service was horrible and one particular checkout person quickly turned my excellent rating into a low score. He was rude and seemed to have been in a bad mood. Not only did he take his bad attitude out on his customers, but he also aimed his foul mood at his co-workers. I realized that the young man was having a bad day and tried to make a joke to lighten his mood and help him understand that I didn't cause his bad day. He was snippy and wasn't very helpful when I tried to select new items to partake in. Simply, all workers should have product knowledge or take the initiative to ask someone else. The manager apologized for his attitude and I appreciated that. However, training is definitely in order for that young man. One experience makes a big difference and can make you wonder what happened to the excellent service. The food was great, but I was a little disappointed that the infamous mud slide pie is not a part of the menu. [02 Feb 2003 17:25:49]

SERVICE IS TERRIBLE I HAVE BEEN GOING TO LOUIE'S SINCE THE PLACE OPENNED AT LEAST ONE TIME EACH WEEK. I LOVE THEIR FOOD. I PROBABLY SPEND ABOUT $100.00(FOOD AND BEER) FOR MY FIANCE AND MYSELF. HOWEVER THAT HAVING BEEN SAID. I WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE AFTER THIS PAST WEEKEND(JUNE 5,2004). THE SERVICE WAS TERRIBLE AND THE OWNER/MANAGER HAS THE WORST AND MOST OBNOXIOUS MOUTH IT HAS BEEN MY PLEASURE TO HEAR. HE IS FOUL AND DISGUSTING. HE USED FOUL LANG AND WAS VERY DIRESPECTFUL, NOT TO MENTION SLOW. I HOPE HE LEARNS TO TREAT CUST WITH THE RESPECT THEY DESERVE. THAT OR I HOPE HE HAS TO SELL. THEN MAYBE I CAN ONE DAY GO BACK FOR SOME GOOD FOOD. [08 Jun 2004 09:50:57]

It doesn't get any better than this. Louie's is a true gift and a gem. Awesome cuisine served by friendly people in a very clean, totally non-pretentious atmosphere.
Salads are to die for. Fresh. Fresh. Fresh. Red/ripe tomatoes every time!!
I've frequented this place for going on two years and it has NEVER disappointed me; and I'm particular as hell.
If you go, order something Cajun ~even if you've never eaten same. The specials are consistently awesome culinary delights. I'm sure their plain-jane fried catfish is great, too. But, this is a CAJUN place, folks. If you want plain jane, go to Long John's.
Thanks, Louie for all the great meals. [22 Jan 2005 20:59:11]

Quality heading downhill... I used to be a regular for lunch over the past few years, but I have noticed recently the quality of the food is not quite up to par. Grilled salmon and chicken used to have beautiful grill marks and were cooked to perfection. Now, these items frequently are over-cooked, and occasionally even burnt. That's not good eats. The homemade dressings are very good, and my kids like the chicken strips. But they also like chicken McNuggets, so take that last comment anyway you like. A lot of familiar faces are missing from the kitchen and from the cash registers, which may have something to do with the recent drop-off in quality and service. Not a bad place, but I'll stick with Sea Island from now on. It's a lot more consistant. [03 Jun 2006 13:09:14]
