Best Country Cooking in Spring
You owe to yourself to visit this restaurant! The chicken-fried steak is my husband's favorite and I love the fried catfish, baked tilapia, blackened catfish, crawfish etoufee, crawfish cakes...well, I could go on and on. Do yourself a favor and check it out!    [26 Jul 2005 21:31:28]

Great Food
I had the quail dinner at Neal's and it was very good. You get 2 quail with the dinner and you can have them both fried, both grilled, or one grilled and one fried. They were both good, but I liked the grilled one the best. My wife had the stuffed shrimp special and it was excellent also. Our kids ate the Kids Meal catfish and chicken tenders. I did have a bite of my son's catfish and it was quite tasty. Maybe next time I'll try the adult catfish meal. Service was good and the owner came by and visited our table. My Favorite Place To Eat
I have been eating at Neal's since 1997. I have never had a bad meal from this family owned restaurant. I do recommend the quail. If your into desserts, then this is the place for you to go. The owner has always made her own pies and cookies. Try the coconut cream pie; it is to die for!

They've Been Hiding
I've been living in Spring for almost ten years and I've heard of Neal's but never eaten there until just recently. I was driving by and saw the sign outside that said they're celebrating 19 years. I think they just moved to that location cause I've never seen them before, but I really wish I had known about them for the last 10 years. I had their crawfish ettouffee dinner special with shrimp. It was a lot of food, but it was really good. My husband had the sausage/slice beef combo plate and it was very good also. We were very impressed with this place. The service was pretty good also. Fantastic Barbecue
Neal's has the best barbecue I've ever eaten in Texas! Their brisket is very lean and tender. I've also had the smoked chicken and it's just as good. We're regulars at Neal's and we will continue to be for as long as we live in the area. Great food, great service. Inexpensive but bland
Have tried Neals on a few of occasions but have decided not to return. The food is plentiful and not too expensive but bland and not flavorful. Service by high school kids and their friends is sometimes lacking.    [30 Aug 2005 12:10:41]

Great Food
My family and I have been coming to Neal's since we moved here in 1995. My kids love the cookie that they get if they eat their kids meals. I love the homemade desserts and the catfish. I have had it both grilled and fried. I can't decide which is better. The prices are reasonable and you get a lot for your money. They have homemade fried mushrooms that are to die for. They have recently added a full bar in their smoking area that my husband likes. The atmosphere is comfortable and the owner frequently comes to our table to see how everything is. Mmm Mmm Good
