Excellent Mexican Food The parking lot looks like the restaurant is always full. Actually, there is room inside; the service and food is fast and tasty. Pleasant decor, nice furnishings. [12 Feb 2001 11:39:56]

Best Mexican Food in Town Chips and salsa while you wait, prompt and friendly service. Good food and lots of it. Very interesting decor. [27 Jun 2001 16:36:46]

Not All That Great Best in town only because it is the only in town. Not too tasty. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. [06 Jul 2001 12:05:47]

Bland Food, Poor Service, But Only Game in Town. Has gone down as time goes by, the loud yellow paint job was the last straw. Service has suffered even more now that George is gone. [23 Dec 2001 22:03:26]

Worst Excuse for a Mexican Restaurant Have seen the restaurant go downhill as the owner's ego has grown. The portions are so small and bland and the prices have gone up a lot in the past two years. Who painted this thing yellow? [18 Apr 2002 01:48:47]

The Only in Town The food is ok, but the prices could be lower. The mixed drinks are poorly made. The portions are small. [06 Oct 2002 15:39:11]

Very Small Portions vs. Higher Prices? The last two years have seen this restaurant go down in quality and service. The prices just keep going up and the portions get smaller. Not a good combination. [18 Jan 2003 20:08:19]

Very Nice Place to Eat [Previous reviewers] stated that it was the best in town because it's the only in town. I remember 15 yrs ago there wasn't a Mexican restaurant there and everyone would have given their left foot for Mexican food!
I was from out of town and thought that this place was just as good, if not better than most restaurants. Maybe you should go live on an island for a couple of weeks and see what you've missed, then you won't be so ungrateful! And for the one that dismissed the color, have you even been to Mexico? They are festive people with festive colors. [11 Dec 2003 14:59:32]

Good Food Lorena's has good food but some of the selections good use some revision. Some dinners and plates come out greasy and oily, and some come out great but everything else is great: the people, the service, and the atmosphere. [25 Jan 2004 22:50:11]
