Description
Surprisingly good food, considering it's housed in a former gas station. Conveniently located, good parking and a clean dining area (though the kitchen is messy according to food service personnel and the city inspector). They are well known for their great service and authentic Italian foods (I love the manicotti). The owner will often come to your table to make sure your meal tastes good and your server was respectful. San Remo's continues the tradition of many other GREAT restaurants in town of being closed on Monday.

San Remo is one of the best Italian Restraunts Period We've had Italian food in Chicago, Dallas and NYC, to name a few. San Remo is hands down one, if not the, best Italian restaurants we have ever visited. The host remembered our names and food preferences from the very first time we visited. It is a family owned and operated business that has the best food and service around. Don't pass it up if you get a chance. [10 Feb 2006 17:37:32]

Authentic Food and Atmosphere This restaraunt is one of the best places to eat Italian food. The family that runs it is from Italy and they provide a wonderful dining experience with authentic Italian food, wonderful atmosphere and personalized service. Denisio makes you feel very special and has a wonderful tenor voice if you can convince him to sing for you. [28 Mar 2006 14:02:13]

A surprise in a small town I've got family in Sulphur Springs and I make it a point to get to San Remo whenever I can. It's authentic Italian (and Sicilian) on par with the family restaurants you find in New England. The menu is standard Italian with a few surprises, but the staff and owners will create some truly special dishes on request. Considering Olive Garden is considered good Italian in most of Texas, San Remo is a surprise worth travelling for. [20 Jun 2006 10:16:04]
