Great Food A romantic, restraunt with delicious foods. The service is good at times and better at others. [30 Apr 2003 20:43:50]

A lot of it is fried which is really bad. Very down-home, not highly creative or experimental which suits the level of sophistication of the residents of the surrounding area perfectly. That insults me as well so keep your shirt on, okay. Consider this when deciding about this place-it's located in Texas City. The people who own this place know their market. And this is a good thing. Kudos to them. [02 Sep 2003 16:12:06]

Don't Miss This Place! The Reef exemplifies all that is great about Gulf Coast seafood, with preparations from mild to wild and a barbecued crab recipe that dates back 50 years. [30 Oct 2003 10:31:49]

Stay away...I repeat... I am from Texas City and the Reef is considered fine dining there. But I will never eat there and this is why.
My mom used to work there and she told me about all the stuff that goes on there.
. . . Concerns about food . . . [17 May 2004 21:11:55]

Best Seafood Restaurant I appreciate the high school sports support the Reef always provides. They are the very best seafood restaurant I've ever eaten at. Period. [06 Jan 2005 19:08:25]

The Reef Resturant has good food, inexpensive lunches, but to me it is not enough food. Of course this is only applying to lunch specials. Overall the food is very good, along with the service. [28 Jun 2006 19:40:14]
Food: Service: Ambiance: Overall: Recommended Dishes: fried shrimp with delicous baked potato
