Description

A blues bar by night home to bikers, yuppies, rednecks and rose queens alike. For the best in Tyler, Texas nightlife, this is the place.
During the day however, you can smell the power as you walk in the door. This is the downtown Tyler eatery that has the most class during the day. Weekly favorites are the daily specials on Chicken Dumplings and Chicken Spaghetti. Huge hamburgers with 1/8 potato slices for fries. Reasonably priced for such a nice place, unless you buy some of the malt scotch, or any of the other top-notch alcohol.

Power Lunches or Blues by Night
Huge Fries!! To-Die-For Banana PuddingHamburgers, Shrimp, Oysters, Chicken Fingers, Chicken Spaghetti, it's all good. I tend to have a huge hamburger with swiss cheese on a whole wheat bun, with bar-b-que sauce and jalapenos on the side and of course those awesome fries (dipped in bar-b-que sauce), there must be one or two whole potatoes on each plate, (about 8-10 fries). The waitstaff is always prompt, courteous and helpful. Just sit back in your soft leather chairs and soak it up. Aside from the Gourmet version down the street on the square, Jake's, Rick's On The Square is one of the finest Tyler Dining Experiences around    [01 Dec 1999 16:24:54]
