Best Tex-Mex anywhere!
Not only is this OUR favorite all time restaurant, whenever we have out of town guests, we make sure to treat them to the very best little Tex-Mex cafe in town! It never fails, everyone is always pleased and they want to go back again to have those wonderful enchiladas and puffy tacos! It becomes THEIR favorite restaurant!
We used to look forward to the pumpkin bread they served every fall........I'd give anything to have that recipe since they won't offer it anymore! We used to buy at least 2 or 3 a week!    [04 Nov 2002 12:19:40]

Salsa! Salsa! Salsa!
We are military and moved from San Antonio in 1995. We used to eat at this restaraunt frequently. ALL of their dishes are great, but my most favorite thing is their chips and SALSA. They make their own, and it is do die for. Whenever I have anyone going through San Antonio, I always ask them to stop by and pick me up a few jars of their salsa. Delicious!
I had not eaten at La Fiesta Patio in ages but finally went back there when a friend mentioned that there vegetarian chalupas were good. I'm not a vegetarian but am very health-conscious, so I went to try it.

They were absolutely delicious. A chalupa shell with veggetarian refriend beans, loaded with bean sprouts and guacamole and topped with a tomato slice. I couldn't believe that they managed to pack that much flavour into such a simple dish! It was wonderful, as was the tortilla soup. The salsa was also very good. All in all, highly recommended.

Best Tex-Mex in the Universe
We started eating at La Fiesta's earlier incarnation on Austin Highway in 1979 and never miss a trip to SA to eat at the current Pat Booker restaurant. It's one special place when you are remembered from a trip a year earlier!!!

If you plan well, you can send your kids to college in SA just to have another excuse to visit La Fiesta. We did, and it worked great!!!    [21 May 2007 21:20:36]
