Great food, good service.
This little cafe has made itself into a piece of Hill Country history over the years.

Lost Maples Cafe was originally a small dining area with a diner counter. Over the years, business has expanded the dining areas. The interior is decorated with bits of Utopia history, including newspaper articles, family portraits, water bottles from the now defunct Utopia Spring Water Company. Very rustic with a texana flair, 50's dinettes mixed with handmade cedar booths. Very cozy atmostphere, and friendly to large groups.

Service is always friendly and prompt. Do try to remember, however, that when things are busy, things will take a little longer. It is still a home-cookin' cafe!

Pies are out of this world.

Breakfast is great, I recommend the Kitchen Sink breakfast taco. It's one of my favorites. Very tasty, very filling, and very reasonably priced.

Give it a try, you'll probably like it. Occasionally there is some variance in the cooking, but on the weekends for breakfast and lunch, it's perfect.    [07 Aug 2003 21:19:21]
