Worth the drive. I live 35 miles from Waxahachie but it's certainly worth the drive. My mom and I have very little time together but when we do get a day to spend with each other I love to take her to the Dove's Nest for a special treat. [28 Oct 2002 15:24:49]

Excellant Restaurant Excellant food and service. Relaxed atmosphere. I have never had anything that was not absolutely wonderful from there. In addition to the restaurant they also have an antique store and gift shop with very unique merchandise. [15 Nov 2003 00:24:22]

Look for it You may have to "look for" the Doves Nest, hidden away in an antiques market of the same name, but its worth it. The recommended tea is the orange-spice iced tea. Cindy's Tomato-Basil soup is wonderful, and one of my favorite dishes is the turkey, walnut, blue cheese, grape salad. Service is always friendly & outstanding. [27 Dec 2004 23:12:47]

great Great food, service and shopping. I have heard we are going to get a Dove's Nest in Ennis. That would be great. [02 Jun 2006 15:08:22]

Not Impressed If you like fruit in almost every thing you eat then you will be in fruit haven. The over priced and under inspired food was ok…and at $15 bucks a person ok just doesn’t cut it.
Let me remind every one this is Texas… SWEET TEA IS A MUST and I don’t mean that BS foo-foo flavored stuff so many restaurants are serving now days. [20 Jun 2006 16:25:49]
