Be sure to stop at Czech Stop!!
From the interstate, this little place appears to be a gas station. Sure, you can fill up the tank, but do NOT leave without filling up your tummy with the best Kolaches in the state of Texas!

Try any of the pastries, but if you like poppyseed, make sure and get a poppyseed "buchta" if you visit on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday. This is a rolled-up poppyseed bread that is out of this world. Just exactly like the ones I was raised on back in Ohio. I try to make a trip to the Czech Stop bakery at least every couple of months.    [28 Jun 2002 00:25:07]

I agree with the other persons post %100.My husband goes there on his way to work & home everyday. He works in Bellmead and we live in Laguna Park (Clifton) so West is in between the two. He just called a few minutes ago on his way home and asked me if there was anything I wanted him to pick up while he was there. We just moved here from Fort Worth abt a week ago and we're all much happier here- the czech food is fantastic & the people are very nice. And the Little Czech Bakery stays open 24 hrs a day so I would recommend this little place to anyone for gas, drinks & goodies    [20 Feb 2004 23:44:16]

The Kolaches are THE BEST!!
I discovered this awesome bakery when I would travel back home to visit from my teaching job in Killeen, Texas. Now the only time I get to eat any of the mouth watering treats in when we make a trip to South Padre. Stopping at the Chech Stop Bakery is one of the highlights of our trip. I always think I've gotten quite a bit of them, but they never last long enough. I love the cream cheese kolaches and the sausage and cheese rolls. We're planning a trip soon and we'll be stopping on the way to the beach and on the way back.    [05 Jul 2006 16:16:34]

Gotta stop at the Czech Stop
Any trip south on I-35 from Dallas requires a stop at the Czech Stop. Why?
Kolaches! The best kolaches in Texas. Especially the cream cheese fruit ones (blueberry is the best, followed closely by cherry). The sausage, saurkraut & cheese kolaches also can't be beat.    [06 Aug 2006 23:37:10]

Conveniently located next to I-35

You can have all the fruit & cream cheese you want, but my favorite is still the suasage w/jalepeno.

It doesn't matter. Everything here is good!    [01 May 2007 03:58:01]
