The best restaurant in the world
The Branding Iron is my favorite restaurant. I haven't been to Texas in over a year and I'm dying for some brisket from the Branding Iron. I have eaten there numerous times, and ever time the food is consistently amazing. The price is great, and the food is even better. Excellent BBQ
The first time I visited the Branding Iron was in 1998 and I ordered the combo and was amazed how good it was. Six years later I’m back in Wichita Falls so I stop by for the combo and it’s still perfect after six years, excellent. The wife and I try to stop by every chance we get.

Darn Tasty BBQ!
The Branding Iron is also one of my personal favorite restraunts. Although the place is on the small side and a little out of the way for most people in town it is deffinitly worth going out of the way for. Excellent BBQ
The Branding Iron is a Wichita Falls staple. It has by far the best BBQ in Texas! The meats are tender and tasty. The fried okra and fried potatos are tasty but sometimes can be a bit on the greasy side. The potato salad is absolutely the best I have ever tasted. MMMMMmmmm Good!
Personal favorite, only wish it was open later in the day as well as lunch. Always excellent food, and lines move quickly even when very busy.
The BBQ turkey is the best I've ever had and fried okra is always delicious. A half serving is always ample for even a good eater like myself.    [04 Feb 2006 11:41:38]

Dark and Smoky
As soon as you walk in the door you know you are in a real bbcue joint. From the meat man with his wire mesh gloves to the worn wood floor it's a unique Wichita Falls feeding place.
You get a wide selection of slow smoked meats including ribs, brisket, pork, turkey, and sausage.
Make sure you decide what you want before you get to the meat man so you don't hold up the line.
I suggest a two or three meat combo.
You get to pile the sides of your choice on top of the meats.
The back room looks like it used to be the smoking room before they added on.
Ribs sometimes seem a mite overcooked or have sitten too long under the warmer.    [21 May 2007 18:51:44]
