Very Filling. The buffet doesn't have many choices for meat. It isn't bad, just not much variety. The food tastes O.K., it just doesn't stand out with a punch. The steaks to order are cooked on a griddle not an open fire. The meat quality on my ribeye was not great. Again not bad, just not my first choice. The buffet gives you the opportunity to fill up for a decent price. [30 Sep 2003 19:02:43]

Terrible Food and Service Don't eat the buffet. The peaches and pineapples were spoiled. Manager goes from table to table but doesn't ask why food is not being eaten. The tea is good. Wasn't our first time but it was our last because they are constantly terrible. [19 Oct 2003 22:04:32]

GOOD GOOD GOOD I think the food was good. I do think that there should be a little more things on the buffet menu but overall it was good. some of the service was bad but there was one girl who was very good at her job. The manager was also very sweet but she always is. [29 Jan 2005 14:05:28]

Today was my last day to eat there My family and I have been going there about once or twice a month since last spring. My husbands bad experience was when he ate the shrimp and got sick from it. A few months later me and my sister went, when she slipped and fell on some food on the floor, all they (the staff) did was stand there and look at her. They did not offer to help her up or check to see if she was ok. Then today, my hubby and I were eating there again and I found a hair in one of the Veggie sticks. It was baked into it, so I know it wasn't from the waitress. When I showed the waitress, she just frowned and said "eeww, gross." There was no offer of apology from management or anyone else. And the fact that the buffet is pricey and they hardly ever have many choices & food is almost always old. So today was my last visit to that joint!! But I do have to say the decor is charming!! Given their high buffet price... You would think they would either come down substancially on their prices or have more to offer. Not only do they have very few dishes, what they do have is always the same. And it is not always fresh. The only good part about this restaurant is their dessert bar.
So sad, given that Wylie only has a few restaurants - we are forced to drive to Plano very frequently. [03 Apr 2007 15:57:30]

LOT (lack of taste) My family, friends, and my self cannot figure out why Steak Country still has a good business other than there are residents that do not want to drive to a quality place. To be fair, food is filling and plentiful on the buffet. I have yet to taste anything with taste or of quality. We have ordered buffet and steaks, every time to be disapointed. We try to support local business but are forced to drive to surrounding areas. [16 Oct 2007 23:03:42]
