Fries and friendliness
There is not much that can top a lovely afternoon at Bryce, with its beautiful scenery. On our way to Zion however, the sun dropped faster than we expected and fearing a nightly cruise through Zion to reach our hotel in Hurricane, we stopped on the way to load up on coffee and some food before embarking on the last part of our trip. Bryce Zions Midway Restaurant, Gemutlich, was a well-lit and inviting place along the road, with excellent food. I ordered a BLT with fries, and my dinner companion chose a guacamole bacon burger with fries, and coffee. Instead of black coffee, I indulged in machine made French Vanilla cappuccino coffee. The fries were crispy, the burger juicy and the bacon and guacamole were a pleasant combination. My BLT was excellent, with crispy bacon and lettuce, juicy tomato slices and a fluffy bun.

We had a lovely dinner and enjoyed conversing with our friendly waitress Tracie, so instead of driving on, we were able to cancel our reservation and decided to stay the night in the new, spacious wooden cabins that are adjacent to the restaurant.
