We just got back from Utah and would go 20 miles a day just to get to this restaurant. Wow, everything was soooo good. The bread was wonderful. The meat and desserts were really good too. Believe it or not, we couldn't get enough of the creamed corn. I don't know what they did but it was fabulous. For only $9.99 it was the best buffet around.    [18 Jul 2003 01:10:50]

Mmmmmm!
The food was delicious! There were so many choices that I was too full before I was even able to try everything that I wanted. The only thing I ate that did not impress me was that the roast beef. (It was so tough that the server had to struggle to get the fork out after cutting off a piece.) However, there were so many other great foods to fill me up that this was not a problem. It was fun taking the family, and our kids (5 and 3) really like quite a few of the dishes, but next time we will make sure we get a babysitter so that we can thoroughly enjoy the food.

The ambiance was pretty plain and the service was what you would expect at a buffet restaurant. Again, the great food outweighed all other factors. I left the restaurant very full and very happy.    [04 Sep 2003 13:33:04]

Ugh
I can't believe anyone would recommend this place. First of all, at least half of the dishes there were not things that one could actually cook in a dutch oven (fried fish?). They were just served in the dutch oven. Second, the food was terrible. Crunchy potatoes, bland meatballs, no vegetables at all. Third, the service was terrible. Despite the fact that it wasn't at all busy, several dishes never got replenished and many were cold. There also weren't very many choices, and of course the ambiance was exactly what you'd expect at a buffet. My husband, the world's least picky eater, refused to finish nearly everything he tried, and he tried almost everything. I'll never eat there again.    [26 Jan 2004 21:10:58]

I am still full!
Well, my husband and I decided to give it a shot, and thought it was just great. Granted, true dutch oven food involves a burnt woody taste (complete with ashes) and usually is something you slaved over for hours, and that was all lacking at this restaurant. But who would want that at a buffet? We loved everything we tried and our server was there to take our dirty plates a minute after we were done with them. My husband especially liked the seasoning on the beef, and there was a wide variety of dishes!

PS- you can cook anything you want to in a dutch oven, if you just use it like a frying pan.    [28 Jan 2004 13:50:15]

Never Again
My friend and I heard that the Dutch Oven was a great place to eat. I have to say that the food was not good at all. The meat was dry and there was way to much sauce on the meat. Everything was over cooked and it was around dinner time the time you would think that everything should be fresh. The salad was ok but the dressing tasted like they were out of a can. I would have to say that I will never eat here again.    [16 Nov 2004 21:42:15]

Closed
The Dutch Oven Buffet in Lehi closed many years ago. I ate there a few times. Some days were better than others.

A Mexican Buffet tried to open, but was terrible and was closed in about two or three weeks.

Now, there is a Tepanyaki Japanese Steak House at this location.    [13 Sep 2007 15:30:01]
