Excellent Mexican in a Great Locale Logan has a new, best Mexican restaurant to visit. For years El Toro Viejo was your only option for good Mexican food at a resonable price, but I'm here to say that Cafe Sabor has taken it a step up.
The food was excellent, the portions were enormous and the atmosphere was genuine and comfortable. Best of all, you can eat like royalty and still not spend $30/couple including a well-earned tip.
Their lunch menu is even more reasonably priced and you will NOT leave hungry. The traditional chips and salsa are fresh, the salsa having a nice Cilantro accent.
In short, go try them out. You won't be disappointed. [21 Apr 2003 13:15:14]

Best Mexican in Logan The food is really good. Service is wonderful. It is not spendy. Two people can eat for about $25. Call for Reservation on the weekends. They are good to work with! [26 Feb 2004 12:41:46]

A Good Change I've been there for lunch and dinner and had great experiences. Lunch prices are as low as $4.99 but most are around $5.99. I like their combination meals where you can pick any 2 entrees from a list of about 6 items for only $5.99. This last time I had the Burrito Supreme. It was excellent and ended up taking half home because there was so much food. The service was great. The waiter always had fresh drinks on the table when needed. They have a machine in front that makes the tortillas and you are able to stand and watch if you have to wait for a table. It can get very busy at times so plan ahead if you're going on a weekend evening. This is an old train station so the atmosphere is really unique. Sometimes the upstairs eating area can get quite warm, but that's great if you're always freezing like I am! I haven't tried them, but I hear the fish tacos are good! [31 Mar 2004 18:41:29]

Beer Drinkers Beware After an incredible experience at this restaurant (great service and amazing food), my husband and I returned with another couple who consider themselves to be "beer connoisseurs". Two of us ordered beers. The Negro Modelo came with the revered DABC sticker on it, indicating that it was a "real beer" but the Dos Equis came with the dreaded "Maximum 3.2% alcohol" indication on the label. After inquiring with the waitress how these two beers could possibly be listed on the same menu, she asked the "Beer Manager" (B.M.) to talk to us about it. The B.M. told us that they can get Dos Equis and Corona Light without having to go through the DABC but that the rest of the beers on the "Imports" list were "real" beers. He also tried to explain to us the difference in reporting the % alcohol by weight or by volume and got it completely backwards. He said that the Dos Equis would cost less than the Negra Modelo, but when the bill came they both were listed at $4.50 (outrageous!). We indicated to the waitress that it was inappropriate to list these beers under the same heading and especially inappropriate to charge the same price for both of them. The overall service that evening was mediocre and that she didn't seem to care about our concerns was the kicker. [29 Sep 2004 13:39:35]

Excellent I am a local that is also a regular. I am so addicted to the shredded beef Burrito Supreme that I haven't tried anything else on the menu. My husband loves the "pork quesadillas" (I don't know the actual name). And he loves the salsa - I don't like it because of the cilantro.
Oh, plan on taking home half of your meal - huge portions! [22 Feb 2005 15:35:53]

Best Mexican Food in Town Meals are very reasonably priced & taste great. Waiters are attentive. A trick that not many know: If you don't like hot salsa & you can ask the waiter for the mild salsa. It's wonderfully flavorful & easier on the taste buds. [21 May 2005 00:19:57]
