Decent But...
The Cheesecake Factory experience is one that is not worth the long wait. I'd recommend holding off until the newness has worn off. The food portions are generous but are not worth the price. The menu is extensive and there isn't one particular specialty offered. The multitude of choices is overwhelming and makes it very difficult to decide what to order.

We ordered the spinach artichoke appetizer and it was NOT good. It had to be the most bland dish I have ever had and when the waitress asked how we liked it, we were honest about not enjoying it and she was so kind that she took it off of our bill because she said that if we didn't love it we didn't have to pay for it--thank you Laurin.

The best part of the meal is the desert but be prepared for the sticker shock as a piece of cheesecake runs anywhere from $5.00 - $9.00.

This is not a child friendly place and I don't recommend it for a comfortable dining experience. The restaurant is loud and the seating options are either a high top table or sitting on top of each other in an open bench booth. This is not the place for an intimate date or a quiet conversation. The staff is friendly and the bartenders well versed, but the coffee bar is slow and the potatoes are cold. I would go here again for desert to go but not to stay and dine.

Best of luck and happy dining!    [11 Mar 2008 23:18:04]

If You Must Go, Go Only For The Cheesecake.
No one likes a bad meal. Maybe I can spare you one.

My girlfriend and I can never get in because the lines are so long. On her birthday, it was a two hour wait so we went elsewhere.

We went at 3:30 today. No line. There was one waitress for every three tables. We asked for drinks three times, never got them, but she would check back and ask if there was anything else. Yes, the drinks. Once, she had the water jug in her hand, asked her question yet again, and walked away without refilling. To her credit, only one of the three drinks was water. Simply no excuse since the place wasn't a quarter full.

The menu items are $3-$5 more than other restaurants of similar quality, but the portion sizes are smaller. They don't have kid's meals, so my son got eggs, bacon, potatoes and a bagel. $6. He wasn't given a choice on how the potato was prepared. What he got were spicy French fries torn in half. TORN IN HALF! I think they were attempting hash browns. He wanted another bagel too. $3. I got white chicken chili. $10. But it had no chili in it. Oops. It's rice based with lots of chili type spices. It was not good. Sickening actually. My girlfriend got 4 cheese pasta, or something like that. She likes the place. My first time. But we all stopped eating because we didn't have drinks to wash it down. So we took the offered boxes and left.

Worst night out ever.

OVERALL: 1/5 (Avoid the lines. Go to Olive Garden, Macaroni Grill, Red Robin, Red Lobster, all of which I enjoy.)
FOOD: 0/5 (I was so disgusted, I lost my appetite and skipped the $6 - $7 cheesecake, per piece.)
