Good Cheap Mexican Food Great food. Looks like a dive, most of these are in old beat up fast food restaurants. Can't beat the prices. It's all good. Ignore the ambiance and get some fantastic food, inexpensively. Wished they had one closer to where I live. [19 Aug 2002 10:57:45]

Betos- a home for the weary traveller Betos combines rich Mexican culture with a lucious taste of the local cuisine. Fried before your very eyes and served steamy and fresh, the Betos experience is sure to leave you FULL and not wanting. One night of smooth, creamy refrieds, melted cheese and greasy nachos will likely have you asking yourself, "where have you been all my life?" Bring a friend or two, spread the good word, Betos will steal your heart faster than your paycheck! [21 Oct 2002 23:54:55]

Betos- a pleasant surprise We found it by accident when driving cross country. Not only reasonable but primo quality. Couldn't get better in a fancy restaurant. Made our day. We will hit it on the way back west this spring. We will be in my motor home this time. I may park and eat until our eyeballs pop out. [22 Dec 2002 19:52:43]

Betos is by far one of the better fast food places I have ever been in. Food is great, tasty and PURE mexican, and prices are really cheap. You end up full and thinking that maybe you paid too little for an amount of food that big. [09 Jul 2003 17:32:18]

The food was excellent! Best money I've spent for food. The food was hot, fresh, and homemade. The burritos are huge, too. And when you get your plate, your thinking, whoa! I don't think I ordered super sized. [11 Sep 2003 17:14:56]

5 bucks = 3pounds of incredible mexican food Betos is by far the best bang for your buck! Its the only fast food restaurant were you can walk in with 5 dollars and walk out with 3 pounds of incredible authentic Mexican food. The atmosphere in the restaurant seems a little grungy and old, it gives you the feeling that its one of those small hidden resturants of the west. But once you bite into a burrito you'll notice that it just makes it all the better. Betos is definitely a place to stop and eat for cheep. Especially if you'll be passing through the Salt Lake area. I'm just blessed to have one so close to my home. [17 Jan 2004 20:14:19]

Was great, could be great again.... I like the food at Betos, got hooked over a year ago. But there is a lot of inconsistency among the several restaurants. I think I've been to all of them. I don't like the one on Bangerter in West Valley because they don't have a condiment bar, and only red sauce in these super small plastic containers. I used to like Provo, but the last time I ate there they had watered down the green and red sauce about 50% with water, that’s nasty, I won’t go there again. This isn’t a super cheap place like taco time or something, there’s no dollar menu here, expect to pay six or seven dollars for a meal. You can go to a Chinese buffet lunch cheaper. I think they can afford to keep the condiment bar running. Salt Lake and North Temple are the best. [13 Feb 2004 16:42:06]
