Best Chinease Restaurant in Tooele The food is great with a lot of selection. Prices are good and they have a daily special. [24 Jun 2002 15:57:36]

Best Is A Relative Term. Hunan Village, Tooele, is a bright and very informal restaurant. As such is it well suited to the "small town" community of Tooele.
The service is quite good (always with a smile), and most of the food is pretty good, too, but that's just it. It's just "pretty good." It's nothing to seek out unless you don't want to travel anywhere else. In some ways the Panda Express (fast food) is better.
The sesame chicken is nice, as is the General Tso's. I'm not a real fan of their chow main, though. Unfortunately it comes with most of their combination dinners so, unless you order ala carte it's going to be hard to avoid.
The dish to stay away from is the ham fried rice. It's not ham. It had the taste and texture of bologna. I'm not kidding. I literally wondered if it was bologna fried rice. Definitely a dish to avoid.
If you find yourself in Tooele and you're in the mood for Chinese food, Hunan Village might be a good place to try if you want to avoid the fast food experience of Panda Express. Just ask for steamed rice instead of the "ham" fried rice. [28 Apr 2008 16:44:44]
