There are better restaurants in the area
Food was adequate, service was okay, but disappointing. Timing was poor (i.e. they gave me my soup, then before I could even come close to touching it, gave me my main meal on a table that really couldn't handle multiple dishes). As a whole, little things missed/overlooked by waitstaff added up to poor service.

Food was acceptable, but nothing spectacular. Atmosphere like an old diner mixed with trendy.

Overall: good for families, but wouldn't recommend for couples going out to dinner.    [10 Jan 2004 13:04:25]

Best Place to Eat in Arlington
This place has great ambiance. The servers are friendly and know how to do their job right. The food is higher quality than any of the chains that have newly opened in the vicinity. You can't miss, its great!    [28 Jan 2004 11:38:07]

fabulous neighborhood dining
YUMMY! We eat here at least once every two weeks. It hands consistently great food, prompt and attentive service, tasty martinis and outstanding desserts-- especially the brownie sundae.

North Arlingtonians are lucky to have a locally owned and operated restaurant of this caliber in Clarendon, which has become overrun with national chains!    [01 Feb 2004 21:25:36]

Nice atmosphere, good food.
I went with my wife for Sunday brunch. Very nice open atmosphere. Hostess was friendly and helpful. The food was excellent. I had the French Toast, which was the best I ever had. Overall, a restaurant I would definitely recommend.    [15 Feb 2004 08:53:48]

My Favorite Place
This is the best place in the area. The wait staff is friendly and very good. I eat here all the time. The food is excellent. My favorite is the french toast they serve at Sunday brunch. A close second is the eggs benedict.    [09 Sep 2004 10:52:49]

Our favorite in NOVA
Very consistent food and service without the attitude so common in NOVA dining. Very friendly from start to finish. We especially dig the brunch on weekends.    [19 Mar 2005 17:24:30]

Yum yum
I'm a native Arlingtonian and would highly suggest this restaurant to natives or tourists. The food is very good for the price, service is usually good and it's in the middle of everything -- an easy walk to metro.

The salads are great, as are the steaks and seafood dishes. Bread pudding is a wonderful end to a meal.    [24 Apr 2005 19:59:50]

The Ribs!
I asked our waitperson about what was particularly good, and she started off with ribs and I am happy to say that she was correct. Wow! Tender and very meaty, with just the right amount of sauce - they were fabulous and the portion was generous. Of course, for any true rib-eater, there are never enough on the plate, but in this case, nearly.
I'm sure there are many other delightful dishes on the menu here, but I'll never find them because I'll be up to my elbows in, what else, ribs.    [07 Jun 2005 17:54:05]

Worst customer service ever!
Holy Crap! Dining here was a nightmare! First the hostess was almost a cartoon of grumpiness and the waiter grunted his way through our order. The fun really began though when we asked to split the bill on three cards (um, is this hard?) they not only weren't able to charge all three cards (ended up overcharging one card for more than the total bill while not charging one card and charging one card a third of the bill). When we asked them to correct this by voiding the transaction and then running it correctly they said they couldn't. Then they were somehow able to after we called the manager over - um, wait, did I say they were able to - oops! They actually screwed up again and were unable to provide any void receipts. We actually had to call our banks while we were there to get the banks to straighten it out.    [15 May 2008 18:20:36]
