Bad Service I purchased a cake from the Rosslyn location that I had ordered the day before for a clients'party. Once I opened the box with the cake in it I noticed that the writing on the cake was wrong. There were 3 misspellings. Since the cake was for a client this was very upsetting to me. I returned to the store to explain to the general manager and to asked if they could fix this for me. To my surpirse I was told NO! The writing was a round candy disc, so I asked if they had a blank disc so I could write on it myself. I was told NO! The general manager at that time raised his voice and told me that I should just take the disc off the cake. I told Paul Gindes the general manager that I worked for Morton's the Steakhouse and that the cake was for a client. This man (I use this word loosely) then told me that he worked for Tivoli and so what. This was the worst customer service I had ever had in my life!!! I have used Tivolis' for over 10 years at three of thier locations for business and personal,it used to be my favorite pastry shop in the area. I WILL NEVER BUY A NOTHER THING FROM THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! [23 Jul 2003 17:57:17]

Very bad dicriminating service I was ordering a cake at the Rosslyn location for my son's bithday party. I had couple question about the cakes and suddenly the manager of the shop told to his employee (person who was selling the cakes) that I am asking to many question and he should not serve me. I could not understand his attitude. May be because of my black hair as I was only asian in the pastry shop that time. If he does not like Asian people he should pu a sigh at the entrance- WE WILL NOT SERVCE ASIAN PEOPLE.
If you have black hair please do not visit this place!!!!!!!! [02 Oct 2003 14:38:42]

Service stinks I believe the shop has some of the best pastries in town. They have two locations, one in Rosslyn and the other one in Ballston. The one in Rosslyn has a reputation of bad service. By the third time I was treated disrespectfully, I decided not to come back to either location. The last time I went to the Rosslyn location, I was waiting for a while, just looking the employees talking to each other and having their ball, just ignoring me. Finally one of them decided to serve me and he began to disrespectfully address my request. He talked back to me a couple of times, and I decided it was enough. They simply thought they were doing me a favor for letting me buy at their shop. I quietly decided to leave before I lost my temper. [20 Apr 2004 18:09:06]

Bad cheesecake and BAD SERVICE to top it!!!! Went to Tivoli with a friend for the first time with high recommendations. Got 4 pieces and discovered that the strawberry cheesecake was bad when I got back home. Called to complain and was told to bring it back. However, I was not going to be close to rosslyn till after a week and offered to take a picture of the cake as proof. However, was told that there was nothing that the store would do about it.
Was expecting an apology, and maybe a refund, but not outright denial that I was wrong, and that the store "will not" do anything about it surprised me. Well, to save 3 dollars, they lost a would be customer who is going to certainly spread the word with a gusto. [30 Jun 2004 17:47:20]
