Hearty food, but awfully greasy Like most of La Madeleine's customers, I'm a big fan of their artery-hardening tomato bisque (with 106% of your daily saturated fat allowance!) and mushroom soups. Their wild greens salad is also quite fantastic. But even though I seem to be unable /not/ to order a sandwich or pasta when I go there, I'm always put off by how greasy and unremarkable it really is. It's too bad, too, because La Madeleine is one of our favorite spots for relaxing a bit on a weeknight. [30 Apr 2003 14:31:05]

Yummy Yummy La Madeline is a wonderful, Americanized French cafe. The food is great but it is best to visit in off-peak hours, as it can be very loud when the place is full. For a Saturday or Sunday brunch you could find yourself circling for a table for a while. [20 May 2005 20:42:44]

Delicious Food, Pleasant Atmosphere I love going to La Madeline. The food is great. Two people can eat heartily for under $25.00 dollars and although you order at the counter, they serve the food to your table when it's ready so you still can enjoy that nice dining out experience. I've been to the Tyson's Corner location and the Bailey's Crossroads location. The Tyson's location has wonderful outdoor terraces. One that is very private with only 2 tables. Both of these locations are large enough that I've never had to wait for a table even during busy times. My favorite sandwich is the hot chicken parisian. My favorite brunch item is an omelet with spinach and cheese. I'm addicted to the raspberry lemonade. [24 Sep 2008 22:33:56]
