Carnivore's Delight
Don't eat for days before you go. It's one of those all-you-can-eat meat places where the waiters bring meat on swords. Tasty. Lunch is a good deal. Desserts aren't included in the deal. Hard to beat if you're looking for meat and lots of it.    [01 Aug 2003 09:49:17]

Meat Lovers Paradise
Keep the green side of the block on your table UP and the meat continues to arrive....turn it over (red side UP) when you are full. An outstanding restaurant with great prices, an awesome walk-up bar with everything from rice dishes, salad dishes, etc. Bring your appetite and enjoy one fo the best restaurants in the entire Washington DC metro region!    [06 Dec 2003 14:22:18]

Good
I was leary the first time here. I went with an office function. But I must say. This place is Great!!!! We went at lunch time, so not as many meat choices. But plenty enough still for those meat eaters out there.

They let us make reservations since we were a group of about 20. We came in and sat down, they asked what we wanted to drink. Then let us go up to the salad bar, and the other two bars (one with fishes, and other with soups ect). We sat down, and here they came. Asking us what we wanted. I really enjoyed it. And for $13 you can't beat all the meat you get to ea    [02 Jun 2004 12:46:56]

Pleasant service, not thrilled with the meats
In Malibu Grill's defense, we did not know we were going to a Brazilian buffet, we thought we were going to a steak restaurant.

We enjoyed the salad bar and parts of the hot buffet. We found all of the meats, save the pork sausage, to be overdone and/or chewy.    [12 Jun 2005 09:21:30]

FOR MEAT LOVERS ONLY!
I was pleasantly overwhelmed with the amount of meat offered. Each serving was as good as the first. The turkey wrapped in bacon was divine!. The restrooms were very clean. I would recommend this "GRAZING" spot to anyone that delights in flesh tearing dining!    [12 May 2006 10:21:08]

Just Terrific
I've had two experiences at the Malibu Grill a few years apart and both were great.

The staff was very attentive to our needs and the food was cooked perfectly each time. In addtion, they have a salad bar (the basics) and rice.

The restaurant was very clean. The furniture was well maintained, clean and the decor very pleasing.

I'd return in a heartbeat    [25 Jul 2006 14:27:32]

Worthless
I do not know who wrote all of these wonderful comments, but I love food, cook gourmet food and was very disappointed with Malibu.
1. Spanish music, not brazilian
2. Not very clean in appearance.
3. Salad bar items tasted like they were about to spoil. No spices or sauces in anything. Even the pasta salad did not have enough vinegar.
4. Meat was not marinated and lacked flavor.
5. Meat was so dry, I had to request steak sauce to chew it.
6. Meat was not charred and missing the smoked, blackened flavoring.
Even my date could not eat their food and he eats anything meat and not very picky at all.

Yes, we went out to another restarusant after just to fill our stomachs...sad!!!
I would equate their meat quality to Western Sizzler's for 1/2 the price.    [15 Feb 2007 14:57:30]

What a disappointment
I agree with only two of the above critiques, the ones who did NOT enjoy the food at this overrated restaurant. The service was fine, the ambiance pleasant enough except that the salad bar area seemed a bit dark and dingy...but, other than some of the salads, I could not eat the food. I love good meat and was hoping for a real glut fest last evening...Instead, uncharacteristically, I left most meats on my plate...they were overcooked, dry, tough, bacon on turkey undercooked, even the chicken thighs were tasteless...
Forget this chain, even at bargain price!    [29 Aug 2007 08:08:30]
