For a chain, quite good. Pho 75 is a chain in Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. I've only eaten at this one, so I can only assume the others are as good.
Out of all the local Vietnamese restaurants that serve pho, Pho 75 has the best I've tasted in America. There's nothing that quite beats walking in on a cold winter Saturday for lunch and smelling the soup the moment you open the door.
As outstanding as the soup is, the service is pretty standard -- nothing special. Pricewise, you can't go wrong -- a small bowl (plenty filling for most people) is under $5 with complimentary tea. Keep in mind, though, that you're not going to get anything other than soup here.
If you plan on coming for lunch, plan an early or late lunch -- at 1:30 one Saturday afternoon, there was a line stretching out the door. The Pho restauarant across the street (Pho Hiep Hoa) is almost always empty, though the soup is not quite as good [08 Dec 1999 15:15:05]
