Real pizza in the suburbs
The pizza and calzone here are definitely a notch above the other chains. Doesn't quite match up to the pies you'll find in DC at Faccia Luna, Pizzeria Paradiso, or Matchbox, but if you're stuck in Herndon, you won't be disappointed by Luciano.    [18 Jun 2003 11:23:13]

Small Portions
I ate there twice, and I guess I forgot that the pasta portions are incredibly, stingily, small. This is a total turnoff. These people don't have a clue how to make it attractive for customers to return. I won't. The branch in Tysons Corner is much better.    [07 Jul 2003 18:32:37]

Wonderful

Pizza Is Best in Herndon
The large pizza here is the best in the area. Almost as good as a NYC or Philly pizza. It is extra large in size 20 inches, that yields 8 large slices. The small individual pizza are a different breed, much like Bertucci's or Macaroni Grill.

Howard-2002 is right, the amount of pasta is small compared to many Italian restaurants. But it is much more authentic than say what you would get at an Olive Garden or like chain.

My only ping on this restaurant would be the Subs. The home made Italian rolls are much too hard and doughy and completely overpower anything that is placed upon them.    [20 Jun 2005 20:50:12]

The food is great
