Description
The Mighty Midget Kitchen is a little metal "hut" with a large grill out back. They serve dishes such as hamburgers, pulled pork, barbecue ribs, sausages on a bun and hot dogs. All seating is outdoors, and they have heaters for colder weather.

I happened across a small (tiny) restaurant while shopping in Leesburg. It has some of the best barbecue ribs I’ve ever had. The owner takes great pride in his work, and it comes through in the food. I understand that they have live music on the first Friday of each summer month. The owner, staff and cliental were all very friendly. Big taste from a small place. [29 Jul 2003 19:10:45]

A Legend in the Making Aside from being a unique and sort of surreal Leesburg landmark, the Midget has great food. I live down the street and the aroma of continuous REAL Barbecue leaves me constantly hungry. Please support the Midget. The outdoor seating makes it rough on the owner over the winter. Not It isn't easy to find, but by following your nose to the unmistakable smell of the smoker, you will be rewarded by some of the best BBQ ribs and pulled pork east of the Mississippi.
Operating out of a tiny kitchen fashioned from a WW II bomber, the Mighty Midget's slow-smoked meats are tender, yet not falling-off-the-bone mushy.
You can sink your teeth into the ribs and enjoy the spice from Brian's special sauce or, as I did, choose some added kick from the big selection of hot sauces housed in an antique Coke cooler that is also home to napkins, silverware and wetnaps.
The ribs are only available on weekends and when the day's supply runs out, you're out of luck. Get there early.
By the way, all seating is outdoors (the rest of the airplane must have been recycled into aluminum beer cans). And, pick a table without too much slope [16 Jul 2004 15:31:54]
